Approach to Teaching & Learning:
I enjoy teaching for many of the same reasons that I love learning. I believe that teachers and learners are essentially working together to solve a a problem and even though the teacher is in the position of having prior-knowledge both parties are actively engaged. I enjoy sharing in problems that have no definitive right answer, rather, have many good answers given critical evaluation. I am a curious person and I love to invoke a similar curiosity in others.

Hobbies:

I like to run, to read, and learn new things. I hope to run in the Taihu Marathon in Suzhou this coming year. I am passionate about global politics and continue to volunteer as an orgainzer and stay involved with the annual National Model United Nations conference in New York. I am also casually interested in filmography, linguistics, and languages. I am a fan of folk music and I sing badly, but often. I also enjoy many sports especially basketball and American football. I also like to play video games and watch a fair amount of bad TV.
