Professional Achievements & Experience:
For 8 years I operated my own business where I offered a wide variety of media solutions to businesses big and small. I even worked with several national and international companies such as the National Ballet School of Canada, Mac Cosmetics, Judy Inc., Eikon Device, etc. I even developed and patented the worlds first 3D RML technologies. However, after 8 years of working in the private sector I decided to become a teacher. After specializing in technological education I came to China to teach. I have worked in many cities across China from: Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Changsha, Wuhu, and now Suzhou.
Approach to Teaching & Learning:
I enjoy teaching because I get to teach what I love to the next generation of designers and engineers. For me, STEM programs are much more about just learning, they are about learning why what we are learning is important. It is where we get to put everything that we have learnt into use to solve real world problems. Its where we get to be creative with the Maths and the Sciences. It is where the humanities give us the ideas and the inspirations that we need to create something new. It is where every subject comes to life at the same time.
So why do I like teaching, I love teaching because in STEM we are learning and creating, and there is nothing more exciting then making your best ideas…. Your dreams become a reality.
Hobbies:
I am a life long learner so in my free time I am constantly doing online or university courses that interest me. Currently I am finishing a Masters of Business Administration just because I thought it would be interesting to learn more about business. When I am not studying I like to build circuits, watch tv, and ride my bike.
