The chief function of the Human resources and Information Centre (HRIO) is to implement the policies and regulations passed by the municipal government of Suzhou, the provincial government of Jiangsu and the national government of China regarding the management of foreign employees.
The HRIO is also responsible for providing feedback to the municipal government of Suzhou, drafting guidelines regarding Foreign Experts, and enforcing all policies and regulations related to international faculty and staff employed at SNA.

Administration of national guidelines and policies regarding Foreign Experts employed at SNA
Foreign employees’ performance reviews
Security and safety of foreign staff working and/or living on campus
Recruitment of foreign employees
Development of the International Teachers Affairs Centre website and its maintenance
Logistics and transportation arrangements for foreign staff
Promotion of cultural exchange and organisation of cultural activities
Administrative procedures, obtaining of a work permit & residence permit, employment contracts, insurances, etc.
Professional development and training of international teachers employed at SNA
Emergencies and health issues related to foreign staff
Setting up of academic and research partnerships with foreign scholars
